Neodymium Magnets

Neodymium, besides iron and boron, is the base material for the presently most powerful permanent magnets made of NdFeB - their strength can reach the 2000-fold of their weight, dependent on their geometric shape.

Neodymium is a "rare earth" metal. Its atomic number is 60. The currently strongest available permanent magnets are produces by sintering finely ground powder of the raw meterials being exposed to a megnetic field.

Here you'll find more informationen about material characteristics of neodymium magnets.

The english version of that site is projected and will be available in the course of this summer.
